After 20-odd years in this business (accent on 'odd'!), the main thing I've learned is that 99.99% of the people I meet are honest, straightforward, helpful, and fun.
At last count, I had 66 books (fiction and non for kids and adults), 59 short stories, and more than 2,500 articles in print. Started teaching way back in the early 90s, and almost immediately saw a need for new and different how-to-write classes...and developed a few. In 1999 (because students kept asking for all-day, intensive workshops and seminars) I developed The Leading Edge Writers Studios.
Personal stuff: Married, mother, grandmother, owner of a formerly-abused-now-spoiled-rotten Pointer named Cash. (That isn't the name on his papers; he got that moniker cuz of all the money he cost in those first months, fixing what his former owner did to him. That beast.)
Born in Wisconsin, raised in Illinois, and have happily resided in Maryland since 1972.

Have you ever thought of contacting the C. Burr Artz Library in Frederick to see if they would like you to do a one-day seminar? They are wonderful to writers and speakers.
